My name is Abby Brockamp and I teach voice in Salem. I focus on creating healthy, self-sufficient singers. Currently, I also teach choir at Abiqua Academy and perform in professional and community theatre when I can.
In 2013 I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance with a Minor in Drama.
While attending SU I received the Carol Hall Nicol Memorial Prize for vocal excellence. I'm also a member of Phi Kappa Lambda, a national Society that recognizes the highest level of musical achievement.
My most beloved performances have been in choir, but I've been featured as a guest artist with the following ensembles: Cazenovia College, the Syracuse Bass Ensemble, and the Salem Pops Orchestra.
I have extensive experience in classical and choral singing. However, I also love performing and teaching vocal jazz, musical theatre, and acapella. My most recent musical theatre credits include A Christmas Story at the Elsinore Theatre, and Sweeney Todd at Enlightened Theatrics.
When I'm not singing or teaching, I'm designing and developing websites, including this one! I also enjoy reading, watching live theatre, and cooking.
